Binghamton Simulator Wins U.S. Military Contract Using Concurrent Products

BINGHAMTON, NY, December 2008:The Naval Air Systems (NAS) Command has awarded Binghamton Simulator Company a contract for the Aircrew Virtual Environment Trainer (AVET) program. Please see the attached release.

Binghamton Simulator Company is part of the Greater Binghamton Modeling and Simulation Coalition, a partnership of companies, educational institutions, and government promoting the modeling and simulation opportunities in Binghamton, New York. The members of the coalition include: Binghamton Simulator Company, Binghamton University, Broome Community College, Diamond Visionics, L-3 Link Simulation & Training, Rockwell Collins, RPA Electronic Solutions, Inc., Simulation and Control Technologies, Inc., Virtusphere, Inc., Broome County Goverment, and the Broome County IDA.

Most of these organizations exhibited at the 2008 I/ITSEC show in Orlando, Florida, USA, December 1-4. Each year the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) promotes cooperation among the Armed Services, Industry, Academia and various Government agencies in pursuit of improved training and education programs, identification of common training issues and development of multi-service programs. The modeling and simulation industry was born in Binghamton, New York 80 years ago.
